Environmental Philosophy

KAWAEI Corporation recognizes that preservation of the global environment is the most important issue common to all humankind, and as a company with 100 years of experience in the silk industry, we strive to provide high-quality products while aiming to reduce the environmental burden by reducing the loss of raw materials and manufacturing processes.


Environmental Policy

We are committed to the following environmental protection activities through the manufacture and sale of textile products.

Promotion of Environmental Management
We recognize the environmental impact of all our activities, products and services, and strive to prevent environmental pollution and reduce its impact.

We have identified the following themes as priority issues for environmental management and will strengthen our efforts to address them.

Code of Practice

Prohibition of Child Labor
In accordance with the law, we prohibit the employment of children under 15 years of age or under the age of compulsory education, and ensure the safety of young workers under 18 years of age.

Protection of Foreign Workers
We provide language education and workplace training to help foreign workers adjust quickly to the workplace. In addition, we do not retain any passports or residence cards.

We prohibit the use of violence or threats of violence in any circumstances and place the highest priority on the dignity and respect of our employees.

Elimination of discrimination

Fair Disciplinary Action
Disciplinary actions are taken fairly in the presence of a third party, and the system of fines is prohibited to protect the dignity of employees.

Response to Antisocial Forces
We do not have any relationship with antisocial forces or business partners that are related to antisocial forces, and we do not engage in any transactions with them.
